Campaign Settings

Operational settings that control how a campaign behaves — fund assignment, end dates, donor privacy, and integration identifiers.

Campaign settings control the operational side of your campaign — where donations are routed, when the campaign ends, and how donors interact with privacy and commenting options.

Fund Assignment#

Every campaign deposits donations into a single fund. By default, new campaigns are assigned to your organization's General Fund. You can change this at any time to route donations to a specific custom fund — for example, directing a construction campaign to a "Building Fund" while a Ramadan campaign deposits into a "Ramadan 2026" fund.

Changing a campaign's fund reassigns all donations — including historical ones — to the new fund. Multiple campaigns can share the same fund, making it easy to aggregate donations across related initiatives. Learn more about funds →

Campaign End Date#

Setting an end date creates urgency for donors. When enabled, the remaining time is displayed to encourage donors to give before the deadline. You can also enable Accept Late Payments to continue accepting donations after the end date passes — the countdown still creates urgency, but the campaign stays open.

End date visibility

The end date is only displayed publicly on the campaign page and checkout modal when the campaign also has a goal enabled. Without a goal, the end date still controls campaign behavior but isn't shown to donors.

The end date uses your organization's configured timezone.

Donor Privacy and Comments#

  • Anonymous donations — when enabled (the default), donors can choose to hide their name. Anonymous donations still appear in the supporter feed but display with an anonymous name instead of the donor's identity.
  • Supporter comments — when enabled, donors can leave a message alongside their donation. Comments are visible internally on the dashboard and do not appear publicly on the campaign page.

External Integrations#

The External ID field lets you tag campaigns with an identifier from your CRM, accounting software, or other external system. Integrations use this ID to link campaign data between Nizam and your other tools.

Changing integration identifiers

If you change a campaign's External ID, previously synced transactions in external systems are not affected — only new transactions going forward will use the updated values. Fund changes, however, reassign all donations within Nizam. Coordinate with your integration partner before making changes.
